Women Dice With Death On M6

I don't normally post news but this video is crazy.

Burlington Cold War City

A look at a cold war era underground city in the UK.

Over a kilometre in length, and boasting over 60 miles of roads. Blast proof and completely self-sufficient the secret underground site could accommodate up to 6,000 people, in complete isolation from the outside world, for up to three months.

Filthy House

We had a resident who had an outstanding balance for over a month and no one could get ahold of her. The Bookkeeper went inside after so many tries to leave a note and this is what we found.

More Cowbell

This is ancient but I'd not seen it before.

There's a link doing the rounds for a site where you can add cowbell to any .mp3. Give it a try, all it does is crash my browsers.

How to Punch Oasis in The Face

A handy guide.

For a critically acclaimed band, Oasis sure are loathed by a huge amount of people. This isn’t the first time that they’ve been attacked on stage. Something similar happened in 1994, when someone managed to actually punch Noel in the face, presumably before being swept away on the crowd’s shoulders and publicly acclaimed as the president of England.

Preparing to Rescue Hubble

Great pictures.

Even though Shuttle launches may seem to have become commonplace, their preparation and execution is still a months-long process, requiring the work and diligence of thousands to make sure the aging, complex systems are all in perfect condition for launch. Here are some photos of the ongoing preparations for the launch of this mission, STS-125, some of the people involved in making it work, and the crew, who will assume the risks to help keep Hubble alive.

This is a great idea for Halloween -

For the last two years I have created an animation that I project in our window on Halloween night. In 2007 I asked my friend Dewi Wood to design a soundtrack for the animation.

They have a DVD out next month so you can try it yourself.

Klein Bottle

Glass Klein bottle made by Alan Bennett in Bedford, United Kingdom for the Science Museum, London.
